Privacy Policy

1. Summary

Breathe with Me does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal data. The app is designed to work offline and does not use any third-party analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

2. Information stored on your device

Breathe with Me stores the following information locally in the app's protected iOS/iPadOS storage:

• App settings, including selected theme, pattern, session length, audio guidance, music, haptics, and reminder preferences.
• Customized breathing pattern timings.
• Completed-session history used to show progress summaries, streaks, weekly minutes, and recent sessions.

This information stays on your device. It is not sent to Speecon, Andreas Haag, Apple, audio providers, music providers, or any other third party by Breathe with Me.

3. Audio and music

Voice guidance and background music are bundled with the app. Breathe with Me does not record audio and does not access your microphone. If voice guidance or music is enabled, playback happens locally on your device.

4. Notifications

If you enable a daily reminder, iOS/iPadOS asks for notification permission and schedules the reminder locally on your device. You can change or disable reminders in the app or in system Settings at any time.

5. Information we do not collect or transmit off your device

Breathe with Me does not collect or transmit:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or account identifier.
• Device identifiers, advertising identifiers, analytics events, or crash reports.
• Location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, HealthKit, or motion data.
• Breathing session history, settings, reminder choices, or app usage patterns. The items listed in section 2 are stored locally on your device so the app can show your progress, and are never transmitted to us or to any third party.

6. Health and wellbeing

Breathe with Me supports relaxation and general wellbeing. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, monitoring, or treatment. Stop if a breathing exercise causes discomfort and consult a qualified healthcare professional when appropriate.

7. Children

Breathe with Me is a general wellbeing app. Because we do not collect personal data from any user, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. European Union (GDPR)

The developer of Breathe with Me is established in Germany and is therefore subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Because the app works offline and nothing it stores is transmitted to us, we process no personal data within the meaning of Art. 4(1) GDPR when you use the app. The settings, custom patterns, and session history described in section 2 remain on your device under your control; we never receive them, cannot access them, and hold no copy of them.

Since we hold no data about you, requests for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR) have nothing to act on — you can remove all locally stored data at any time by resetting or deleting the app. You nevertheless have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority competent for us is Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg, Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart, https://www.baden-wuerttemberg.datenschutz.de.

9. Security

Local app data is stored inside the app's iOS/iPadOS sandbox and protected by the operating system. Because Breathe with Me does not upload your data, there is no Speecon server-side user database for breathing sessions or settings.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If the app's privacy practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before the relevant version is released.
